Description

Collaborative learning is successful; research based instructional method that meets the needs of all students.  Collaboration in the Digital Classroom offers an in-depth look at collaboration with a focus on online collaborative tools. In this course, teachers will see how collaboration helps students develop 21st century thinking skills, deepen content understanding, and prepare them for the global world. Teachers will learn how to plan and manage collaboration activities that integrate online collaborative tools which are increasingly part of our globally connected workplaces.

Prerequisites

This is an intermediate level course for teachers, literacy coaches, curriculum specialists, professional development specialists, or other school personnel. Participants are expected to have regular access to computers with Internet access. In addition, participants should be proficient with browsing the Internet, uploading and downloading content, navigating to computer files, and with using word processing software, email, and attachments.
