Delivery, Enrollment, and Facilitation

This is a mastery-based course with no discussion forums. The course will be delivered in a fully online format. This course is non-facilitated, and is designed to be completed independently. It is self-paced, with an enrollment period of 60 days, which begins immediately upon confirmation of registration. A Help Forum is included in the course that will be carefully monitored by an online facilitator.

Description

This self-paced learning module is an eLearning experience is designed for online teachers and administrators. It offers an in-depth look at the National Standards for Quality (NSQ) Online Programs Standard G: Equity and Access. This standard promotes program and student success by addressing the individual needs of the whole student and providing equitable opportunities for all learners. In this learning module, you will closely examine the three indicators that make up Standard G and relate them to quality practices implemented in your online learning program. You will have an opportunity to reflect through a self-evaluation and develop strategies that will more closely align your online learning program to this standard. This module is designed to assist you in deepening your understanding of Standard G to better meet the individual needs of learners and further your development of goals to provide online learning opportunities to students of varying levels across the district.

Prerequisites

This is an intermediate level course for teachers, literacy coaches, curriculum specialists, professional development specialists, or other school personnel. Participants are expected to have regular access to computers with Internet access. In addition, participants should be proficient with browsing the Internet, uploading and downloading content, navigating to computer files, and with using word processing software, email, and attachments.
