Introduction
Interested in acquiring an Online Teaching Endorsement to your South Carolina teaching certificate? We offer coursework intended to enhance an educator’s skills and knowledge beyond those that are required for traditional teaching and to prepare the individual to teach classes within an online environment. Teachers will only need to take four courses to receive the Online Teaching Endorsement: the two required courses and two elective courses.
This is an optional add-on certification endorsement that is intended to enhance an educator’s skills and knowledge beyond that required for traditional teaching and to prepare the individual to teach classes within an online environment. The online endorsement is only valid for educators to teach in their specific content area.
Individuals who wish to add Online Teaching to an existing certificate must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Initial or professional certificate at any level
- Specialized preparation (required courses); 3 graduate credit hours each
- Elective courses (select two topics from the list below); 3 graduate credit hours each
