Delivery, Enrollment, and Facilitation

This is a mastery-based course with no discussion forums. The course will be delivered in a fully online format. This course is non-facilitated, and is designed to be completed independently. It is self-paced, with an enrollment period of 60 days, which begins immediately upon confirmation of registration. A Help Forum is included in the course that will be carefully monitored by an online facilitator.

Description

This self-paced learning module is an eLearning experience that offers an in-depth look at South Carolina Teaching Standards (SCTS) 4.0 indicators that create and sustain purposeful lesson structure and delivery.  In this learning module, you will learn how the intentional choices of activities and materials will support the lesson objectives, challenge student thinking, and sustain student interest. The strategic selection and use of activities and materials will motivate and engage students through curiosity.  You will have the opportunity to hear how learner curiosity, activity engagement, and brain-based instructional choices will capture student attention. A reflective analysis of your own learning experiences will demonstrate the lasting impact of curiosity-driven, brain appropriate instruction.

Major Assessment Artifact

Write a 400 – 500 word reflection summary of your own learning experience and how you plan to use at least two (2) new ideas from this module in future lessons.
