Description
While co-teaching is not a new idea, it is just recently making its way into mainstream education for a variety of reasons. With teachers, administrators, and parents all looking for students to get the most out of every educational day, and to be taught at their own level, the co-teaching method puts two (2) certified teachers with one group of students, allowing for increased planning and teaching capacity. This workshop is designed to acquaint participants with co-teaching principles and provide practical, hands-on experience using software tools and digital media for learning support. Participants will explore how these tools can be incorporated into classroom practice and begin preliminary steps to design an approach to integrate these concepts into their schools/districts. Participants will also create a lesson plan designed specifically for co-teaching in their classroom.
