Delivery, Enrollment, and Facilitation
This is a mastery-based course with no discussion forums. The course will be delivered in a fully online format. This course is non-facilitated, and is designed to be completed independently. It is self-paced, with an enrollment period of 60 days, which begins immediately upon confirmation of registration. A Help Forum is included in the course that will be carefully monitored by a full-time online facilitator.
This self-paced learning module is an eLearning experience that offers an in-depth look at the National Standards for Quality (NSQ) Online Programs Standard L: Faculty and Staff Support. Support measures outlined in this standard promote faculty and staff development by providing mentoring, technical support, and timely professional learning. In this learning module, you will closely examine the five indicators that make up Standard L and relate them to quality practices implemented in your online learning program. You will have an opportunity to reflect through a self-evaluation and develop strategies that will more closely align your online learning program to this standard. This module is designed to assist you in deepening your understanding of Standard L to better meet the needs of the faculty and staff integral to the success of your online learning program.
Required Readings and Videos
This is an intermediate level course for teachers, literacy coaches, curriculum specialists, professional development specialists, or other school personnel. Participants are expected to have regular access to computers with Internet access. In addition, participants should be proficient with browsing the Internet, uploading and downloading content, navigating to computer files, and with using word processing software, email, and attachments.
