Delivery, Enrollment, and Facilitation

This is a mastery-based course with no discussion forums. The course will be delivered in a fully online format. This course is non-facilitated, and is designed to be completed independently. It is self-paced, with an enrollment period of 60 days, which begins immediately upon confirmation of registration. A Help Forum is included in the course that will be carefully monitored by an online facilitator.

Description

The South Carolina Teaching Standards (SCTS) 4.0 self-paced learning module is intended for licensed South Carolina educators who want to learn more about the use of questions, routines, and delivery modes where teachers use research-based activities and materials to assess student understanding of content before, during, and at the end of instruction. Through the use of effective question planning, delivery, and evaluation teachers can determine student understanding of content, individualize delivery, and engage students in the learning process. Utilization of effective questions can increase student participation and motivate students. A variety of resources will be used to deliver this instruction. This learning module is not designed to enhance or replicate evaluator training.

Major Assessment Artifact

In the Major Assessment Artifact for this learning module, you will reflect upon the resources that you have read during this session and create a 500 – 600 word narrative that discusses your formation and use of questioning during instruction.
