Delivery, Enrollment, and Facilitation
This is a mastery-based course with no discussion forums. The course will be delivered in a fully online format. This course is non-facilitated, and is designed to be completed independently. It is self-paced, with an enrollment period of 60 days, which begins immediately upon confirmation of registration. A Help Forum is included in the course that will be carefully monitored by an online facilitator.
Description
Going Beyond the Classroom with Virtual Field Trips is designed for all educators working in a K-12 environment who are looking for effective and creative methods to incorporate virtual field trips (VFTs) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) into their practice. The main goal for this course is to transition from passive consumption of VFTs to active, AI-enhanced creation, by equipping the teacher with six practical tools that address challenges in the classroom. This is crucial because it provides educators with the ability to tailor their instruction, encourage student involvement, and save valuable prep time using modern AI technologies. The content of the course empowers teachers by reinforcing their positions as forward-thinking digital leaders capable of ensuring deep learning across all subjects.

Prerequisites
This is an intermediate level course for teachers, literacy coaches, curriculum specialists, professional development specialists, or other school personnel. Participants are expected to have regular access to computers with Internet access. In addition, participants should be proficient with browsing the Internet, uploading and downloading content, navigating to computer files, and with using word processing software, email, and attachments.
